DV4TD / DV4C / DV4TED4 (8HT/8HX/8HZ/8HS/8HP/8HR/8HY; Ford F6JA/F6JB/F6JD)
"The small 1.4 common-rail diesel PSA built with Ford (2001-2015): 1.4 HDi in the Peugeot 107/206/207/208/2008 and Citroen C1/C2/C3, 1.4 TDCi in the Ford Fiesta and Fusion, 1.4 CD in the Mazda 2. Mostly 8-valve 54-68 hp with a simple fixed-geometry turbo and no dual-mass flywheel in most versions, so it is cheap to run and to repair. Weak spots are leaking injector seals and pipes (common before 2012), turbo failures when oil changes are skipped, DPF and EGR clogging in town use, and a timing belt whose tensioner must be changed with it. Lifespans of 300,000 km are reported."
PureTech 1.2 Gen 3 chain (EB2LTED/EB2LTEDH2)
"Third-generation 1.2 with a timing chain instead of the wet belt, mostly as the 48V Hybrid 100/136. Defined by engine code, not year: many 2023-2025 non-hybrid 208, Corsa and 2008 still have the belt engine. Engines built before 17 February 2024 had a cam-sprocket fault fixed under warranty. Too new for long-term data."
