Character
DV6ATED4/DV6TED4 1.6 HDi 16v
"First-generation 16-valve 1.6 HDi (also Ford 1.6 TDCi, Volvo D4164T, Mini One D). Carbon in the oil blocks the turbo feed pipe and pickup strainer and kills the turbo — even dealer-serviced engines have done it twice. Leaking injector seals start the chain. Buy only with proof of short oil intervals and a turbo done with new feed pipes."
TU5 1.6
"206/306/307 16V. Same TU family as TU3 but 1.6 with 16 valves. Timing belt. Oil leaks at high mileage. TU5JP4 used in 106 GTi/Saxo VTS — great motorsport pedigree. Simple, proven."
