Character
M15A-FXE
"Lexus LBX. 5th gen Toyota hybrid system. Atkinson cycle. Chain driven. Based on proven hybrid tech. Very efficient. No known issues — too new but Toyota hybrid track record is excellent."
A25A-FKS/FXS
"Camry, RAV4, Lexus ES/NX/RX and Suzuki Across 2.5 (petrol FKS and hybrid FXS). Efficient and chain-driven with a low complaint rate, but the water-cooled EGR cooler can crack and leak coolant internally - Toyota Europe calls it a fuel-quality issue and does not cover it - and a run of bulletins covers oil leaks, a cold-start misfire and fuel-pump corrosion. Noisy when worked hard."
