Character
F9Q (2005-2012, Euro 4/5)
"Later 1.9 dCi (Bosch CP3 common rail, Euro 4 and 5) in the Megane II/III, Scenic II/III, Laguna II and Suzuki Grand Vitara. Much better than the 2000-2005 engines: the connecting-rod bearing problem is gone and turbo faults were fixed by 2008. The weak point is the injectors - a leaking injector seal can damage the engine - plus EGR clogging. Timing belt."
K7J/K7M
"Clio/Logan/Sandero. Simplest Renault engine. 8-valve, timing belt. Nearly unbreakable with basic maintenance. Dacia fleet favourite. Low power, high durability."
